Start-up – meeting Turku 21.-23.11.2010
In Turku – Finland at 21/11/2010 the EQUIP II project launched its activities.

The meetings took place at the warm and comfortable venues of Turun ammatti-instituutti – Turku Vocational Institute, under the guidance of Ms Armi Ek, and Ms Teija Suominen.
The partners had the opportunity to get acquainted, to exchange opinions upon significant matters of the project and to set the organizational plan that describes the future activities.
The main purpose of this project is to improve transparency and comparability of qualification and competencies across Europe for students and home care workers with older people. The objectives of EQUIP II –project will be:
- to disseminate the products and results of EQUIP-project to other European counties
- to establish the use of Home care competence –test in EQUIP-countries.
- to compare home care education and training in different EU countries.
- to increase mobility of students, teachers and home care workers
- to improve the quality of education of home care services.
- to contribute to appreciation of home care work
- to transfer the EQUIP-Home Care Competence -test to Bulgarian, Greek and Turkish
- The project will also assist the implementation of the EQF and ECVET systems.
There is already running a logo-competition for students from EGE ÜNÝVERSÝTESÝ and Turku University of Applied Sciences for the official logo that will escort all the official documents and the site of the project.
